ZOY

Our ZOY beads are made of stabilized Zirconium / Yttrium Oxide. ZOY beads have a structure of a very high density. This bead with almost perfect roundness, as well as the smooth and polished surface of the beads, stands out for the extremely low wear rate and very low contamination.

Our ZOA beads are made of Zirconium Oxide / Aluminum. The high density and almost perfect roundness with smooth surface made them suitable for high grinding efficiency and low contamination.

Our ZOS beads are made of Zirconium Silicate. The experience shows that ZOS can have an excellent wear resistance in solvent base grinding. Their performance will help to improve the efficiency of your grinding and provide economic advantages.

WELLBEADS - ZOY

Zirconium Oxide / Yttrium beads stabilized used as grinding media for medical and pharmaceutical applications

The ceramic beads WELLBEADS Type ZOY made of stabilized zirconium oxide / yttrium are characterized by an extremely high wear resistance. This property is based on the use of ultrafine crystalline and high-purity raw materials in the manufacturing process and on the constant chemical composition. The very good roundness and the dense, polished surface of the beads also contribute to this wear resistance and thus to the long lifetime circle. Minimal contamination of the ground material, e.g. by critical elements such as zirconium and yttrium, is thus avoided and product quality at the highest level is ensured. This applies in particular to materials and products in the nanoparticle range. 

Fields of application

  • Specially for wet milling, but also for dry milling

  • For paints, inks, coatings

  • For products where standard grinding media are at their limits

  • For the preparation of electrical products

 

Due to the relatively high specific weight,

6.2 g/cm3, these beads are suitable for the preparation of

suspensions with a higher solid content as well as higher viscosity.

In the paint and lacquer industry, the ceramic beads

ZOA are suitable for grinding and dispersing lacquer

WELLBEADS - ZOS

Zirconium silicate beads 

The ceramic beads WELLBEADS Type ZOS zirconium-silicate beads have a very dense, homogeneous structure due to the special production method. All grinding systems therefore exhibit significantly better wear behavior than conventional zirconium silicate beads.

Fields of application

In the coating industry, the type of silicate beads are suitable for ink and

coating systems in the medium viscosity range, mostly solvent-based systems.

Grinding dyes for dyeing textiles, plastics, and organic pigments

also suitable.
